About the Role: Hospitality Assistant
We’re currently recruiting for a friendly, proactive, and reliable Hospitality Assistant to join our professional catering team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a customer-facing environment and takes pride in offering great service every single day.
From cleaning service areas to serving food and drinks, or maintaining impeccable cleanliness—you’ll be a key contributor to the hospitality experience we provide for clients and visitors alike.
Key Responsibilities
As a Hospitality Assistant, you’ll be responsible for:
Establishing and sustaining service points and hospitality locations in accordance with set food safety standards and high standards of presentation to provide a clean, appealing, and safe environment for customers and employees.
Actively assisting the catering staff in the successful delivery of good quality food and beverage service for daily operations and special occasions, ensuring consistency and excellence in the standards of service.
Providing outstanding customer service with a positive, friendly, and professional demeanor, making all guests feel welcome and cared for in an efficient manner.
Maintaining personal hygiene, grooming, and uniform requirements at all times to project the professionalism and attention to cleanliness of the organization.
Conducting diligent clearing and cleaning tasks, such as sanitizing catering equipment, tables, and food stations, to provide a safe and organized work environment.
Maintaining proper handling, storage, and organization of food items and equipment post-service in accordance with health and safety procedures to avoid contamination and wastage.
Ensuring flexible support throughout the Catering and Hospitality department, such as front-of-house service during busy periods, to provide smooth customer experiences and efficient operations.
Proactively promoting and being part of the organization’s sustainability objectives by minimizing food waste, reducing single-use items, and implementing environmentally friendly practices wherever possible
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking people who are:
On time and reliable, with good timekeeping
Independent and well-organised, able to work alone as well as part of a team
Good-natured in attitude, willing to be flexible with tasks and shifts
Meticulous in detail, producing quality work with pride every time
Familiar with a comparable role in the hospitality or catering industry (desired but not necessary)
Familiar with health and safety procedures, including food hygiene and HACCP (training may be given if necessary)
Exceptional in communication and interpersonal skills to deal with customers and colleagues professionally
