To support this journey, the organization has redefined its IT Target Operating Model (TOM) to enhance governance, strengthen business alignment, and build robust internal capability. As part of this evolution, they are seeking to appoint a Vice President – Business Partnership & Process Excellence, a senior leadership role that will sit at the intersection of business strategy, enterprise architecture, governance, and transformation delivery.
This role is ideally suited for a seasoned leader who brings deep expertise in SAP transformation, process improvement, and business relationship management, and who thrives in complex, enterprise-scale environments.
Position Overview
As VP – Business Partnership & Process Excellence, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the technology agenda is deeply aligned with business priorities. You will act as a strategic bridge between business functions and IT, leading business engagement, demand governance, and transformation delivery.
In parallel, you will champion process excellence across the organization—standardizing and optimizing key business processes, embedding continuous improvement, and supporting the success of large-scale ERP and enterprise system deployments.
This role carries executive-level visibility and influence, requiring regular interaction with C-suite stakeholders across business and technology domains. You will be responsible for setting governance standards, driving process harmonization, and leading a high-performing team of business partners, process engineers, and transformation leads.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Business Partnership
Serve as the primary IT business partner for designated business units, ensuring a clear understanding of their strategic objectives, challenges, and technology needs.
Act as a trusted advisor to functional leaders (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain, Retail Operations), providing technology input into business planning and vice versa.
Translate business requirements into structured technology demand, ensuring alignment with the enterprise IT strategy and SAP transformation roadmap.
- Process Excellence Leadership
Define and drive a process excellence vision and strategy, targeting enterprise-wide standardisation and simplification.
Lead end-to-end process assessments, mapping as-is and to-be states using tools like SAP Signavio or equivalent process mining platforms.
Leverage Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to identify and remove inefficiencies, duplication, and bottlenecks across business workflows.
Work closely with ERP and systems implementation teams to ensure processes are embedded into technology solutions effectively.
- Governance & Demand Management
Lead the IT demand management process, ensuring that new initiatives and change requests are captured, evaluated, prioritized, and aligned with enterprise goals.
Establish and govern a robust business case approval and portfolio prioritization framework, facilitating structured decision-making and transparent resource allocation.
Oversee SAP change and configuration governance, ensuring compliance with internal controls and business readiness protocols.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Executive Alignment
Act as a senior point of contact for 30–40 business stakeholders, including C-level executives, board members, and function heads.
Facilitate regular steering committees, transformation updates, and executive briefings, ensuring transparent communication and alignment.
Proactively manage escalations and competing priorities, acting as a neutral facilitator and strategic problem-solver.
- Leadership & Team Development
Build, lead, and develop high-performing teams across Business Partnership and Process Excellence functions.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the transformation organization.
Mentor and coach team members to build enterprise thinking, stakeholder engagement skills, and process design capability.
Ideal Candidate Profile
This is a senior, enterprise-level role, ideal for transformation leaders with a blend of business acumen, IT strategy, and process improvement expertise—particularly within a SAP-centric environment.
Qualifications-Latest Dubai VP Jobs 2025
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
MBA or a master’s in business transformation, strategy, or digital leadership is preferred.
Professional certifications in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt), PMP, ITIL, or Change Management (e.g., Prosci) are highly desirable,
Experience
12 to 15 years of experience in large-scale transformation roles, with a focus on business engagement, IT strategy, and process governance.
At least 5 years of hands-on experience in a SAP environment, with exposure to modules such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP FICO, SAP Retail, or SAP-based O2C processes.
Demonstrated success in leading business partnership, portfolio governance, or process design functions within complex, matrixed organizations.
Strong understanding of ERP lifecycle, business case development, change management, and transformation program execution.
Experience working in multi-country, multi-brand or diversified corporate structures is a significant advantage.
