As Business Unit Director – Automotive, you will be tasked with spearheading global growth and growing commercial operations across several geographies. The job has complete P&L responsibilities, and you will collaborate directly with Group C-level leaders to develop market expansion, revenue development, operational scale-up, and cross-border strategic alignment.
You will act as both a strategic leader and operational executor, balancing long-term vision with hands-on leadership. You’ll play a critical role in defining how the business engages with new markets, partners, and customers across a fast-evolving global automotive landscape.

International Expansion & Market Strategy
Own the global growth agenda of the business unit with complete responsibility for planning, execution, and performance monitoring.
Scan and analyze new markets in international geographies, performing competitive research, feasibility assessment, and go-to-market strategy.
Create market entry and expansion strategies customized for regional regulatory, customer, and business environments.
P&L and Commercial Leadership
Own the profit and loss (P&L) account for the business unit, ensuring revenue growth, financial sustainability, and operational efficiency.
Track key financial indicators and make commercial strategies adjustments to maintain consistent margin improvement and cost management.
Establish and manage pricing models, budgeting, and commercial conditions to cater to varying market conditions.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with government organizations, joint venture partners, distributors, and major customers by region.
Serve as the key point of reference between the business unit and local regulatory authorities, maintaining full compliance and license.
Speak for the company at high-level negotiations, industry conferences, and thought leadership discussions.

Work closely with C-suite leaders, such as the CEO, CFO, and Global Heads of Strategy, Operations, and Product.
Sync up local and regional growth strategies with the company’s larger global plans and investment agendas.
Support board-level reporting, planning sessions, and yearly business reviews.
Team Leadership & Talent Development
Manage, motivate, and coach a high-performing multicultural team, establishing KPIs, performance management, and development plans.
Establish a spirit of collaboration, creativity, and accountability among regional teams.
Guarantee recruitment, retention, and succession plans fit within the vision to grow the business.
Operational Excellence
Apply processes and operational designs that provide agility, scalability, and efficiency to markets.
Implement best practices in customer service, logistics, and supply chain management designed for local requirements.
Advocate continuous improvement and digital transformation within the business unit wherever possible.
The Ideal Candidate
You will need to be a commercial-minded, strategic leader with significant international exposure—particularly in the B2B services or automotive industries—operational discipline, and rigor to succeed in this role.
Experience & Background
Progressive 10+ years of experience in regional expansion, international sales, or business unit leadership roles, preferably in the B2B services, industrial, or automotive sectors.
Proven track record of establishing or expanding operations in several countries within the Middle East, Africa, or Asia-Pacific.
Substantial background in managing full P&L, business case, and market-level financial responsibility.
Prior experience in working with or for multinational organizations or high-growth global businesses.
Skills & Competencies
Good knowledge of cross-border commercial models, channel strategy, and international market dynamics.
Proficient in strategic planning, budget management, and risk evaluation.
Excellent cross-cultural communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven leadership skills to drive, guide, and develop cross-geography diverse teams.
Ability to influence senior external stakeholders and navigate intricate regulatory landscapes.

Residing in Dubai or willing to relocate.
Willingness to travel frequently across territories assigned as required.
Languages
English fluency is imperative.
Additional languages (Arabic, French, or Asian languages) are a significant plus.
