Position Overview
The Senior Sales Manager – Walmart will own and grow the company’s relationship with Walmart. This involves creating and implementing strategic sales plans, discovering new opportunities, and maintaining strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external partners.
This role requires a high degree of strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and relationship management within the Life Sciences / FMCG space. As a key member of the Sales team, you’ll play a critical role in driving revenue, negotiating agreements, and positioning the organization as a leading provider within its category.

Strategic Sales Leadership
Develop and implement comprehensive sales plans to grow Walmart account revenue.

Establish, build, and maintain successful relationships with Walmart’s key decision-makers.

Utilize data and analytics to drive areas of improvement and execute strategic action plans.

Negotiation & Contracting
Negotiate contracts, price discussions, and promotional planning to achieve favorable terms.
Maintain accuracy and compliance on all agreements and product deliverables.
Product & Promotion Execution
Support launches, seasonal promotions, and shelf reset events.
Partner with marketing and merchandising colleagues to maximize brand presence and shopper interaction in Walmart stores and through digital channels.
Regulatory & Compliance
Guarantee all processes for Walmart-related operations and product offerings meet the applicable Life Science industry regulations and company standards.
External Representation
Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and buyer meetings.
Actively network within the Walmart universe and Life Science sector to be ahead of the curve.
The Successful Applicant-Best LA Sales Jobs 2025
The successful candidate must be a mature sales professional with extensive experience handling Walmart accounts and excellent knowledge of FMCG or Life Science sales cycles. You have a drive for results, are assertive in negotiations, and good at using data to drive your strategy.
✅ Required Qualifications & Experience
Demonstrated experience managing Walmart or other major retail accounts
Experience in the Life Sciences, CPG, or FMCG industries
In-depth knowledge of Walmart’s systems, operating model, and culture
Proven skill in directing strategic sales programs with measurable results
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Technically savvy with a high level of understanding of sales metrics and KPIs
Techniques of category management and shopper marketing
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Marketing, or relevant area
✅ Desired Attributes
MBA or advanced degree preferred
Experience in rolling new products into Walmart (brick-and-mortar and eCommerce)
Comfortable working in high-speed, high-accountability situations
Proficiency with software such as Syndicated Data (IRI, Nielsen), Retail Link, Excel/Power BI
