Position Overview: Regional Sales Manager – Midwest

Your role as a Regional Sales Manager will involve generating growth and establishing relationships in the Midwest/Central U.S. territory with a technical sales and solution-sold focus on synthetic rope and wire-rope systems to industrial end users, OEMs, contractors, and distributors.

This is an individual contributor, field-based role involving high autonomy, strategic mind, and hands-on in developing sales. You will work closely with internal product and engineering teams to drive highly personalized, high-value solutions to technically challenging customers.

Key Responsibilities


Sales Strategy & Market Development

Establish and implement a territory-specific sales strategy in line with wider commercial targets and market direction.

Identify, target, and cultivate new business opportunities across industrial and infrastructure industries.

Establish a sustainable pipeline through cold calling, warm leads, networking, referrals, and market visibility campaigns.

Account Management & Customer Success

Grow and maintain relationships with current accounts, distributors, OEMs, and contractors.

Be a customer advisor—providing insight, product knowledge, and proactive support.

Support clients through complicated buying cycles, aiding them with technical specs and product advise.

Technical Collaboration & Solution Selling

Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and application support groups to create tailored solutions for every client’s operating environment.

Make successful technical sales presentations and on-site visits, communicating both performance and value.

Solve problems in actual applications and align internal capabilities to provide the solution.

Reporting, Forecasting & CRM Management

Have clear visibility into pipelines, accurate forecasting, and customer files through CRM applications.

Report territory performance, market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback regularly.

Brand Representation

Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, distributor meetings, and field demonstrations regularly.

Be a regional brand ambassador, espousing innovation, safety, and technical leadership.

Minimum 5 years of technical sales experience in markets like lifting, rigging, engineered materials, synthetic ropes, industrial components, or capital equipment.

    Proven performance in both new business acquisition and key account management. You’re skilled at identifying pain points with customers and suggesting customized technical solutions.
  • Industry Knowledge:
    Experience selling into markets like construction, utilities, energy, marine, infrastructure, or manufacturing is highly desirable.
  • Technical Aptitude:
    An engineering, materials science, or industrial applications background is desirable but not necessary. A capacity to comprehend and articulate technical value propositions is critical.
  • Independence & Drive:
    You are independent and can organize your own pipeline, time, and priorities as a team player in a larger commercial team.
  • Soft Skills:
    Top-notch communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. You feel at home on a construction site as in a boardroom.
  • Ambition:
    You are ambitious, with goals to develop into a sales leadership or larger commercial management position down the line.
