Role Purpose-UAE Teaching Assistant Jobs 2025
The TA-2 will play a very important supporting role in assisting classroom teachers to deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences. The role will include assisting in the implementation of lessons, managing student behavior, supporting small groups or individual learners, and maintaining a safe and engaging classroom environment.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be contributing directly to the academic, emotional, and social development of students — helping them to thrive and achieve success in all areas of school life.
Key Responsibilities
- Classroom Support and Instruction
Support the class teacher in planning and delivering interactive lessons, ensuring adherence to the British curriculum and the learning objectives at school.
Facilitate small group sessions, as well as one-on-one learning sessions, to support lesson plans.
Prepare and organize instructional materials, learning aids, and classroom resources in advance of lessons.
Reinforce learning concepts introduced by the teacher and ensure that students understand the instructions and remain on task.
Supervise classroom activities, transitions, and routines to ensure smooth lesson flow and productive learning time.
Provide extra support for students needing differentiated instruction, including special educational needs or English as an additional language.
Supports the assessment and recording of student progress, providing feedback to teachers on student performance, engagement, and behavior.
- Student Development and Wellbeing
Foster positive relationships with students through respect, encouragement, and empathy.
Support the emotional and social growth of students by modeling proper conduct, conflict resolution, and teamwork.
Encourage and promote independent learning, self-discipline, and confidence among the students.
Provide guidance and supervision during non-classroom times including break, lunch, and school events.
When necessary, assist students with personal, physical, or mobility needs, using discretion and dignity.
Help develop a classroom culture that values effort, perseverance, and diversity.
- Classroom Organization and Behavior Management
Work with the teacher to implement and maintain positive behavior management strategies consistent with school policy.
Observe the students’ interactions and provide feedback constructively to ensure a respectful and safe environment within the class.
Assist in maintaining an orderly classroom by organizing resources, displays, and materials.
Support teachers in ensuring that all health, safety, and safeguarding procedures are consistently followed.
Report any concerns about student wellbeing or behavior to the class teacher or the designated safeguarding lead straight away.
- Administrative and Support Duties
Prepare visual aids, photocopies, classroom displays, and digital presentations under the teacher’s direction.
Assist with marking, filing, and data collection for assessments when appropriate.
Provide support with technology in the classroom: interactive boards, tablets, and online learning tools.
Attend various school events, parent meetings, and professional training sessions.
Carry out supervisory duties both in and out of the classroom, which will promote the safety of all students.
Contribute to the school’s extracurricular and enrichment programs when applicable.

Education and Certification
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field.
A teaching assistant certification, CACHE Level 2 or 3, or equivalent qualification in education support is preferred.

Experience-UAE Teaching Assistant Jobs 2025
A minimum of 1–3 years of experience in an educational or classroom support role, preferably within a British curriculum school.
Previous teaching experience in a primary or early years setting is highly desirable.
Experience with supporting children with additional learning needs or English language learners would be an advantage.
Additional Requirements
Fluency in spoken and written English is required; Arabic or other languages are an asset.
A valid police clearance or background check is required.
Strong IT and digital literacy skills, especially in educational technology tools.
