Position Overview: Cloud Architect (OCI)
Deloitte is seeking a Cloud Architect with deep expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to join our team in Doha, Qatar. This is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of digital transformation and design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-optimized cloud solutions that will empower our clients to innovate, modernize, and thrive in the cloud-first world.
As a Cloud Architect, you will play the key role in guiding clients in their cloud journey: from initial assessment and strategy development to full-scale implementation and optimization. You will work in multi-cloud environments, lead highly complex migration initiatives, and provide technical leadership to make sure that the architecture is excellent and aligned with business goals.
This is an ideal role for a ‘visionary technologist’ who will connect strategy to execution by balancing deep technical acumen with great communication and leadership skills.

- Solution Design and Implementation
Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-optimized solutions within OCI and across multi-cloud environments.
Translate the client’s business objectives and technical requirements into effective architecture solutions.
Ensure that cloud solutions align with best practices for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Develop and deploy cloud infrastructure components collaboratively with engineering teams.
- Cloud Migration and Transformation
Lead cloud migration efforts: Ensure seamless integration that does not disrupt business operations.
Create a holistic migration roadmap and strategy for cloud adoption and modernization.
Assess legacy systems to find opportunities for optimization and design migration frameworks aligned with client goals.
Enable clients to smoothly migrate workloads to the cloud with minimum disruption to operations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with cross-functional teams of consultants, developers, and business leaders to align cloud architectures with business and technical objectives.
Convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear, confident manner.
Facilitate workshops and architecture discussions that build common understanding and drive consensus.
- Architectural Governance and Leadership
Provide technical leadership and architectural governance throughout cloud transformation projects.
Establish and enforce standards, frameworks, and best practices for architecture.
Perform regular architecture reviews to ensure that security, performance, and operational benchmarks are adhered to.
Mentor junior architects and engineers, promoting a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Technology Innovation and Guidance
Keep up-to-date with evolving cloud technologies, tools, and industry trends.
Advise clients regarding innovative cloud capabilities that can help in enhancing operational and competitive advantages.
Drive the adoption of automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and DevOps practices to improve efficiency and agility.
Collaborate with global Deloitte teams to share insights, frameworks, and reusable assets.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Extensive experience in cloud architecture with demonstrated expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
Proven experience in large-scale design, implementation, and management of cloud-based solutions.
Strong knowledge of cloud security, scalability, performance optimization, and cost management.
Outstanding client-facing and stakeholder management skills: can establish lasting professional relationships with clients.
Outstanding communications, organizational, and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
The candidate should be proficient in the Arabic language-both speaking and writing.
Professional certifications in Cloud Architecture, especially Oracle or other leading platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP.
Experience working with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and tools like Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with Agile project management practices.
