Job Purpose
The Foreman, General will oversee the construction activities and ensure the successful and cost-effective completion of the construction project. An important function of this position is to oversee the construction crews and other contractors in such a way that the construction activities meet the approved drawings and specifications.
The General Foreman functions as an important interface between project management, engineers, and site staff in turning plans into actions and at the same time achieving increased levels of productivity, discipline, and morale at the site.
Key Accountability Areas-Labor Work at Saudi 2026
1. Supervision and Coordination
Directly supervise and coordinate daily activities of construction crews and subcontractors and other site personnel.
Make sure that all work is carried out in accordance with approved plans, specifications, method statements, and quality standards.
Assign tasks to employees based on their skill sets, experience, and priorities of projects to increase labor efficiency.
Monitor manpower productivity and make sure it is well utilized to prevent delays and rework. All teams need to enforce site rules, regulations, and company policies.
2. Project Planning & Communication
Work closely with project managers and site engineers to gain complete understanding of project scopes, schedules, and requirements.
Communicate work plans, daily tasks, and safety messages clearly to construction teams.
Supports in creating and maintaining short-range and long-range task schedules so as to alignment with overall project deadlines.
Coordinate construction activities involving multiple trades to avoid conflicts and down time.
Ensure open and communicative relationships with various stakeholders in the project, and provide regular progress and working-site updates.
3. Record Keeping
Able to point out major issues, limitations, or risks that could affect construction progress, quality, or safety of the company,
Convenient to work together with engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors on the completing of solution approaches.
Refers escalated complex or critical issues to the project management, when needed.
All site records, be it daily logs, manpower, or any other, are to be kept updated.
Record changes, variations, or modifications to construction activities as required by company procedures.
4.Financial Management
Expert of project budgets and cost issues.
Monitoring materials used, man-hours worked, and equipment allocation according to requirement
Reporting all concerns, variances, and potential exceeds on the costs to project management.
Encourage cost-reduction efforts without undermining safety or quality.

Prepare and submit periodic progress reports, pointing out progress, discrepancies, and corrective measures.

Respond to any issues related to the operation of the project on site.
Use problem-solving skills to limit any disruption to the construction process.
Escalate key and unresolved matters through proper channels, along with appropriate recommendations.
Quality
The manufacturing process should ensure compliance with quality, inspection, or approved specifications.
Quality problems need to be identified in order for measures to be put in place that will ensure such problems

Academic Qualification
Diploma Degree in relevant fields like construction, civil engineering, or building systems.
Work Experience
Minimum 5 – 10 years of practical construction site working experience.
Preference can be given to those candidates who have 10-15 years of experience in the construction industry.
