Role Overview-Latest Graphic Jobs In Abu Dhabi 2025
As a Graphic Designer (UAE National), you will be at the core of developing the visual identity of this innovative institution. You will design exhibition graphics, interpretive displays, print and digital marketing collateral, program and event visual identities, and more. You will take complex programmatic content and render it into visually engaging and accessible designs that adhere to brand and accessibility guidelines.
You will also oversee working relationships with production vendors and enable design requirements of web and digital platforms. You will work in close cooperation with curators, content creators, communications, exhibitions, and education teams to provide a consistent visual voice across all touchpoints.
This isn’t merely a design position, but an opportunity to co-create something historical — an opportunity for your design to be viewed by thousands of visitors, to assist in shaping cultural discourse across the region, and to leave a visual mark.

Major Responsibilities

Design exhibition graphics such as signage, wall text, interpretive panels, wayfinding, and immersive display graphics.

Design print and online marketing campaign materials, event materials, public outreach materials (such as brochures, posters, banners, social media images).

Develop visual identities and branding systems for shows, programs, and projects within the umbrella of the institution’s overall brand system.

Take often dense or scholarly content and break it down into clear, engaging visual forms for various audiences.

Ensure consistency with brand guides, visual systems, and accessibility guidelines (legibility, universal design, ADA or similar local guidelines).

Collaborate with external vendors, fabricators, and installation crews to maintain correct production, cost savings, and quality assurance.

Help facilitate website updates and management of digital design assets and templates.

Store and catalog design files, control versioning and correct file organization for stakeholders.

Collaborate with cross-functional groups (curators, educators, marketing, operations) to weave in design solutions facilitating program objectives and visitor experience.

Engage in design reviews, critiques, iterations, and ongoing improvement processes.

Desired / Required Qualifications

UAE National (Emirati) — this position is only available for UAE Nationals in accordance with local national employment priorities.

Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Visual Arts, or a closely related field.

Experience: At least 2 years of professional experience in graphic design, ideally with cultural, museum, or institutional design work.

Portfolio: A solid, varied portfolio showing excellence and range in both print and digital mediums with samples of branding, marketing, wayfinding or exhibition work.

Technical Skills: Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Experience with other tools (e.g. Adobe XD, InVision, Sketch, Figma) is a bonus.

Accessibility & Legibility: Familiarity and experience applying accessibility design principles (e.g. text contrast, typography, readability, alt text, responsive layouts).

Typography & Layout: Strong understanding of type, layout, visual hierarchy, grid systems, and how to harmoniously display text and images.

Color & Visual Systems: Skilled at creating consistent colour schemes, graphic motifs, visual themes that are in line with brand.

Communication & Collaboration: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable working collaboratively across several teams (content, curatorial, communications, operations).

Project Management: Capable of juggling several design tasks simultaneously, meeting deadlines, having attention to detail, versioning, and organizing assets.

Vendor Liaison: Familiarity with working with print vendors, managing proofs, production coordination, and fabrication or installation quality control.

Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Relaxed about iterating, adapting designs based on feedback, and functioning in a rapid-paced, changing startup-like environment.

Cultural Sensitivity: Awareness of regional and local cultural settings, languages (English and Arabic), and audiences.
