Summary of the Position
As an HVAC and Refrigeration System Technician, you will be instrumental in the smooth operation of all mechanical, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration systems within the resort. You will be required to provide a continually ideal indoor climate that supports the health, comfort, and well-being of our guests and colleagues while assisting RSG in its commitment toward environmental responsibility and energy efficiency.

Job Purpose-Latest Saudi Technician Jobs 2025
Performing all preventive and corrective maintenance, repair, and optimization of HVAC and refrigeration systems to ensure continuous and energy-efficient operation.
To be an ambassador of RSG’s wellness and sustainability culture, bringing into daily work the behaviors of healthy living and environmental awareness.
The provision of operational excellence by maintenance of systems that ensure comfort, safety, and consistency in the guest experience, while upholding Jayasom and RSG brand standards.
Responsibilities
Operational and Technical Responsibilities
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on all HVAC and refrigeration systems, such as air handlers, chillers, compressors, cooling towers, and split units.
Conduct diagnostic tests of HVAC components and electrical systems to determine faults, making timely and effective repairs.
Ensure the refrigeration systems in kitchens, wellness centers, and food & beverage outlets work with optimum efficiency and are in compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
Conduct calibration of thermostats, pressure gauges, and control systems to ensure proper environmental conditions in guest and service areas.
Monitor system performance to support energy conservation initiatives by highlighting opportunities for waste reduction and improvement of efficiencies.
Ensure that proper chemical treatment of chilled and cooling water systems is maintained according to engineering and safety guidelines.
Assist in the installation, inspection, and commissioning of HVAC equipment during both pre-opening and ongoing expansion phases.
Ensure that all HVAC and refrigeration works comply with the manufacturer’s specifications, technical standards, and local regulations.

Follow up on equipment maintenance programs using pre-defined checklists to ensure that all systems operate safely and efficiently.
Participate in periodic facility inspections for condition monitoring, submitting daily or weekly reports as accurately as possible to the Engineering team.
Respond promptly to the requests for maintenance by guests and various departments, striving to resolve each issue within the target response time.
Ensure that all operational processes follow safety guidelines, such as the use of personal protective equipment, handling refrigerants safely, and applying procedures for chemical safety.
Participate in fire safety and emergency response programs, which include the property’s fire team, evacuation procedures, and crisis management training.
Recognize and eliminate unsafe working conditions; report hazards or incidents to supervisors immediately.
Keep all work areas clean, organized, and professional in appearance; never leave materials or tools unattended in public areas.
Communication and Collaboration
Communicate openly, respectfully, and constructively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
Liaise with the Engineering, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Wellness departments to plan repairs and maintenance works with minimal disruptions to the operations.
Provide clear updates on system conditions, completed tasks, and outstanding issues through established channels of communication and digital logs.
Support the training and mentoring of junior technicians, sharing expertise and fostering a culture of learning and teamwork.
Participate in daily briefings and departmental meetings to discuss maintenance priorities, safety reminders, and sustainability initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Diploma or Technical Certification in HVAC, Refrigeration, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Experience:
Minimum 3–5 years of experience maintaining and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems, preferably in the hospitality or resort industry.
Previous experience related to pre-opening projects or large facilities is an added advantage.
Proven track record of working with multicultural teams in high-performance environments.
Knowledge:
Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting for HVAC systems.
Familiarity with energy-saving practices and environmental controls.
Knowledge of Building Management Systems and Guest Room Management Systems.
Experience with swimming pool and water treatment systems, fire alarms, and firefighting systems is preferable.
Certifications:
HVAC or Refrigeration Certification required.
Any Safety, Fire, or Energy Management certifications are advantageous.
